While using Windows 8.1, if you get an error as “Driver Power State Failure” it means that the operating system has gone into blue screen mode. The main reason for this error is when driver in the hardware becomes in compatible. Then in that case you have to restart the system, if the problem still persists then restart your system in Safe mode. If the computer boots and runs properly then in that case it is due to any drivers that are installed in your computer. In Safe Mode many drivers are not activated. And from here you can uninstall the defective driver to fix the issue. The details about the problematic driver can be extracted from the minidump file which is automatically generated by Windows 8 when BSOD appears. You can view the generated minidump file that has .DMP extension.
