The file size of an Outlook PST file is the basic and most considerable element of PST file. 1 – Backup PST: It is recommended that you must keep recent and updated backup of PST file regularly. So even if you encounter a corruption in your source file then you can use PST backup.
2 - Compact PST: When your files cross the limit size you can compact and compress the PST file. Outlook itself comes with “Compact Now” option where you can schedule the compaction process.
3 - Split PST: You can also split the large PST file into several small PST file, in order to reduce the file size.
The above mentioned precautions tips to recover oversized PST file are quite effective. But, you must follow each process with utmost care or else your PST file may get corrupted.
