Hardware Failure

  • Hard drive Failure: If the freeze problem has occurred by clicking sound from the hard drive, then you must get your computer’s hard drive replaced.
  • RAM Failure – If the computer starts and halts making beeping sounds when you restart it then you must try looking at the computer motherboard’s manual.
  • Overheating – This problem occur only when your computers runs powerful gaming or performance hardware. To fix this issue you can turn off your computer for a while and then you can restart your computer.
Check Device Manager

Open the Device manager by pressing the Windows key and typing device manager and then click enter.
  1. 1- Check to see if any device has yellow triangle in the beginning of its name. Right-click its name > click Properties.
  2. In the Properties window, click Update Driver > search automatically for updated drivers.

Registry Problems

The registry is at the core of the Windows operating system. If you have installed any free software that accidentally messes-up the registry in an unforeseen way, then Windows 8 freeze problems start to occur particularly if you use pirated software. So, when you start that program, your PC may freeze or something else might happen whenever.
