Cleaning of the iPhone (or iPod Touch, or iPad) is a straight forward process you just need to check your hard drive consumption. It is good to leave at least 500 MB-1GB of free space if you can. This free space can be enough in making room for the Apps to store data thus you don’t have to worry about the crashes.

If you are short with data storage on your iPhone then you need to clean up as soon as possible to find the list of apps and how much space they are taking up: tap the settings>General> Usage.

Tap on each of the apps that are taking up a lot of space for example if the Twitter is taking 13.5 MB space then it will take up 383 MB of documents and data.

Solution: some of the apps such as camera may take a lot of space so it is better to delete all the extra pictures from it. However for twitter the only option for it is to delete it and reinstall it again. Once you do so you will drop up to 10 MB of space.
